Rebrand for glazing specialist
SOUTH Yorkshire-based Solaglas Windowcare has rebranded to bring itself closer to its parent company, the international industrial group Saint-Gobain.
The £21m turnover company which has 400 staff, provides a nationwide service specialising in domestic and commercial emergency glazing and frame repair and replacement to windows, doors, garage doors, conservatories and locks. It also provides out-of-hours call management from its headquarters in Hellaby, Rotherham.
Clients include major insurers, loss adjusters, insurance brokers, facilities management companies, building maintenance companies, government agencies, local authorities, hotels and retail outlets.
The new brand, which has a logo which includes both the Solaglas Windowcare and Saint-Gobain Glass Solutions names, sees the company form its own distinct corporate identity which will extend to its four key areas of operation: insurance services, commercial glazing, maintenance services and call management.
Ian Davy, managing director of Solaglas Windowcare, commented: “Since 2002 we have experienced year-on-year growth and expanded our services and markets.
“Our new branding not only reflects our strong parentage, but also recognises that we have the flexibility and opportunity to enable us to focus on growth but continue to develop our offering within our core sectors of operation.”
The new identity will be rolled out this year to include vehicle livery, website and internal branding.
Mr Davy added: “Customer service is a key driver for our business, so careful and detailed planning has gone into the process of rebranding to ensure a seamless transition.”
In 2006 Solaglas Windowcare's activities represented 14% of Solaglas' total £150m turnover.
Solaglas acquired Windowcare UK in 2002. It is part of Saint-Gobain Group, one of the world's 100 largest industrial companies which specialises in supplying materials for the construction industry.
