Latest appointments: Madeley appointed as charity chair, Triple appointment at Space and more

YORKSHIRE businessman, Keith Madeley, has been appointed as chair of regional council for youth charity, The Princes Trust.
Mr Madeley takes over the role following the departure of the previous chairman, Kevin Lavery.
Mr Madeley is well known as an ambassador for the region in his role as the chairman of the Yorkshire Society for the past seven years.
Peter Branson, regional director for The Prince’s Trust said: “Keith will lead and support the reinvigoration of our committees which will involve inspiring, motivating and influencing individuals from the public and private sectors – collectively, these groups can help us to change more young lives across the region.
“We are delighted that Keith will bring his energy and enthusiasm at such a critical time for us.”
The charity aims to help young people across the region develop key workplace skills and offers them practical and financial support.

ARCHITECTURE firm, Space Group, has appointed three new architects to its Leeds-based team.
Neil Bulmer joins as a senior architect and brings with him more than 30 years in the construction industry. He will lead the firm’s Selby Community Project, a joint development between Yorkshire PCT and Selby District Council to create a new cottage hospital with civic centre offices.
Lee Cocksedge joins as an architectural technologist from a Skipton-based contractor and brings with him 12 years’ experience in the industry whilst graduate architect Liam Croft joins having recently graduated from Liverpool University.
Associate director at Space Group, Nigel Pilkington, said: “The breadth of our new team’s individual skills and collective experience across a range of sectors fits perfectly with our own business values and I am delighted to welcome everyone on board.”

PAXMAN, the Yorkshire-based manufacturers of scalp cooling technology, has announced the promotion of an existing team member to operations director.
Richard Paxman, who has worked for the company for several years, aims to raise awareness of the technology and scalp cooling treatment in hospitals and will be responsible for driving forward the companies export strategy.
Scalp cooling is a treatment to reduce or prevent hair loss in chemotherapy patients, and Mr Paxman will raise awareness of the treatment to hospitals not currently offering the treatment to its patients.
Mr Paxman said: “I feel very strongly that all cancer patients should have access to the best possible information about the treatments available to them. My aim as Operations Director is to raise awareness of scalp cooling in general and to ensure that all our customers are completely happy with the service and support they receive from us.”

SHEFFIELD-based wire joiner manufacturer, Gripple, has appointed a new director to lead its ideas and innovations department.
Alan Somerfield joins the company with more than 20 years in the engineering industry, including three years in California as director of engineering at Interbath Inc, where he focussed on developing new products for the shower systems market.
Mr Somerfield said: “I have always been a keen advocate of strong links between the marketing and product development activities within organisations and I look forward to my team delivering a wealth of new products in the months and years ahead.”
