YORKSHIRE Water is helping ease graduate employment by taking on eight new recruits.

As part of the company’s graduate scheme the newcomers have started a two-year personalised development programme that will see them spend in a variety of different areas, with the guaranteed offer of a permanent role on completion of the scheme.

Graduate scheme co-ordinator Nicola Rowledge said: “While tough economic times have seen many companies downsize or scrap their graduate programme altogether this year, we’re continuing to develop and grow our graduate programme.

“And the good news for graduates thinking of applying for next year’s intake is that we’re building on the success of this year’s programme by expanding the scheme and increasing the number of places available to thirteen.”

For more information on the graduate opportunities at Yorkshire Water visit deadline for applications for next year’s graduate scheme is January 10, 2010.
