South Yorkshire office opening for insurance firm
THE opening of a new branch in South Yorkshire by insurance broker JM Glendinnings (JMG) is the beginning of a UK roll-out, says the firm.
The Guisley-based firm has opened new offices in Millhouse Green, Penistone, which will be headed by Mark Browne, formerly a director of Rockford Insurance.
JMG said it had identified a gap in the South Yorkshire market for quality, independent advice, which would give individuals and companies in the region the benefit of the advantageous and competitive deals they are able to negotiate.
Paul Glendinning, managing director of J M Glendinning, said: “These are exciting times for the group.
“We are convinced that we have the right mix of people, independence and services to benefit a wider client base. We are determined to bring our brands to an extended population, and are actively looking for suitable companies and locations to work with.”
Mr Browne is joined by Steve Winfield, also previously at Rockfords Insurance, and the firm is already on the recruitment trail for top quality staff to join the newly launched compact business.
In a further move to underline the company’s determination to expand it has bought the goodwill from the liquidator for County and Regional Insurance in the North East with clients initially being serviced from Guiseley.
