MetalCo invests £300,000 in new equipment

HALIFAX sheet metal manufacturer MetalCo has boosted its production facilities with a £300,000 cash injection in new machinery.
The firm has added a computerised metal punching machine and a robotic welding cell to its equipment.
MetalCo’s technological investment has helped reduce lead times for clients and heightened both the flexibility and quality of its output.
Production director Andy Robertshaw said: “This investment has been key for us. By bringing in-house this advanced technology we have immediately added value across the vast majority of client briefs. The new equipment is used across all specs of jobs from complete retail display production to its incorporation within small component manufacture.
“We have had a tremendous amount of positive feedback from both current and new clients as production lead times are cut drastically, making our proposition attractive to firms operating to a tight schedule or indeed to those who had in the past looked to overseas production.”
Based on the Holmfield Industrial Estate MetalCo employs a team of engineers to consult and advise on all aspects of sheet metal and fabricated components.
