Lee to step down as Addleshaw’s senior partner

PAUL Lee is to step down as senior partner at leading law firm Addleshaw Goddard, which has an office in Yorkshire.
Mr Lee from Didsbury, who has led the firm since 2003, will remain in practice with the Manchester, Leeds and London firm.
He revealed today he would not seek re-election as senior partner and will step down at the end of April.
Mr Lee became managing partner of Addleshaw Sons & Latham in 1991 and then Senior Partner of Addleshaw Booth & Co in 1997 after the merger with Leeds firm Booth and Co.
He then led the firm into the merger with Theodore Goddard in 2003, boosting its footprint in the City of London.
Mr Lee said: “I very much appreciate my huge good fortune in having been able to be part of this great firm for a very long time. But, after more than 12 years as senior partner, I believe this is the right time for a change. The announcement allows for an orderly succession plan to be implemented.”
Managing partner Paul Devitt, said: “Paul has made an extraordinary contribution and given much to our firm over many years – most recently in his leadership role as senior partner – and always with a focus on and a real commitment to the two things which remain core to our business: our people and our clients.”
