Yummy Yorkshire wins key contract

AWARD-winning ice cream producer Yummy Yorkshire has won a contract to supply one of Yorkshire’s largest garden centres with its luxury dairy ice cream.
The Denby Dale-based ice cream company will be supplying seven of its flavours – including its three times award-winning ‘Lou’s Liquorice’ flavour – to Wentworth Garden Centre.
Visitors to the centre will be able to buy the ice cream fresh on the cone in the newly refurbished 250 seater coffee shop and restaurant.
Wentworth’s catering manager Chris Bond said: “We aim to support regional suppliers wherever possible and were very impressed with the quality and range of Yummy Yorkshire’s products.
“We particularly liked the fact that the ice cream is 100% natural and completely fresh – the milk and cream are produced on site and processed within 90 minutes.”
Since launching in 2007 Yummy Yorkshire has developed more than 50 recipes of traditional, seasonal and contemporary ice cream.
Its Lou’s Liquorice ice cream flavour recently won best Dairy Product and Supreme Product of the Year at the deliciouslyorkshire Awards and also scooped the top award at this year’s Great Taste Awards, receiving three gold stars.
Speaking about the account win Jeremy Holmes, founder of Yummy Yorkshire said: “Winning this contract on top of our recent award win is a real boost.
“We have ambitious growth plans and hope to continue developing new flavours as well as growing our customer base.”
