Firms can profit from digital growth

YORKSHIRE companies looking to take advantage of the growth in digital communications can take part in an event involving several experts from the industry.
Leading Leeds-based digital agency, AWA, in conjunction with TheBusinessDesk.com, are holding the free half-day event, Making Digital Work Harder For Your Business, next month at the Round Foundry Media Centre.
The event, which will take place on Thursday, January 28, looks at the vital function that digital communications currently play, as well as considering their role in the business landscape of tomorrow.
Yorkshire has the fastest-growing digital sector in the UK outside of London, and is recognised as a leading centre of excellence in the digital and new media industries.
AWA chairman Alasdair Wightman will be joined by other recognised digital experts, each outlining how appropriate digital channels can improve the effectiveness of marketing activity and contribute to overall business efficiency.
During the presentations, dozens of practical examples from the B2B and B2C sectors will be used, aimed at invigorating, inspiring and equipping the audience with all they need to put the ideas and thinking into practice.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s editor David Parkin will be chairing the event and confirmed speakers include digital evangelist Jonathan MacDonald, managing director of JMA & co-founder of this fluid world, and Stuart McFarlane, sector manager, digital & new media industries at Yorkshire Forward.
Senior representatives from Yorkshire-based World Events – one of the UK’s largest international event management companies – and eCircle, a worldwide leader in email marketing software and services, will also be speaking at the event.
Whether you’re new to the online world and the opportunities that digital communication can offer your business, both now and in the future, or you’re an old hand who is looking for new and exciting channels that you’ve yet to explore, this event is perfect for you.
Hosted at The Round Foundry Media Centre, Holbeck, Leeds, the event will run from 2pm to 6.15pm on Thursday, January 28, with networking and drinks to follow.
Although free to attend, places are limited. Register your interest by emailing zoe.roberts@thebusinessdesk.com and you’ll be notified in early 2010 if you have successfully secured a place.
