The M1 is closed in both directions between J37 and J36 due to a South Yorkshire Police-led incident.

Traffic is currently being diverted via local routes. Drivers are being asked to allow extra time for their journey.

Highways England said the event is expected to clear between 13:45 and 14:00, and that normal traffic conditions are expected between 14:45 and 15:00.
