The Addams Family
Everybody’s favourite kooky family have arrived on stage at The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford.
Wednesday Addams is all grown up and has a shocking secret – she has fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family. But how will the two families cope with a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences. Kirkstall Festival
Head to Kirkstall Abbey on Saturday for the annual Kirkstall Festival. The event, which last year attracted 25,000 people, will host a whole range of entertainment and fun for all the family to enjoy. There will be a fairground, a battle of the bands competition, over 160 stalls to browse and plenty of food and drink to enjoy. Anne Reid: I Love To Sing
We have loved watching Anne Reid in everything from Dinnerladies to Last Tango in Halifax, but she is also a cabaret performer. She will be bringing her show to York’s Theatre Royal this weekend, where she will present an evening of songs, as well as a host of stories, including filming with Daniel Craig and performing at Buckingham Palace. You could always spend your weekend getting a tattoo or two. The Leeds International Tattoo Expo, which is taking place at First Direct Arena, is now in its fourth year and brings together some of the very best tattooists from across the UK and Europe. 1940s Wartime Weekend & Vintage Fayre
Kelham Island are taking visitors back to the 1940s this weekend. Head along and experience the Home Front on both Saturday and Sunday from 11am. There will be history re-enactments to watch and vintage vehicles to take a look at, as well as a Tea Dance, live music and entertainment, dance classes and a whole host of vintage, antique and craft stalls to enjoy.
