Plans put forward for city centre build to rent scheme

Plans have been put forward for a 300-home build to rent scheme on the edge of Leeds city centre.

London-based developer Neighbour is seeking approval for the development in the Saxon Gardens district, which includes one block rising to 8-10 storeys and another  12-14 storeys tall, Construction Enquirer reported.

The development at the Flax Place/ Marsh Lane site provides up to 260,000 sq ft of residential accommodation.

There will be a level of shops and a GP surgery that will link both buildings containing parking and servicing.

London-based architect Doone Silver Kerr designed the scheme which will contain 10 studio flats as well as 150 one-bed, 130 two-bed and 10 three-bedroomed apartments.
Fifteen would be listed as affordable housing.
