Yorkshire Dales hotel hits the market

Aysgarth Falls Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is up for sale with a price tag of £1.5m.
Set in five acres of grounds that sit above the famous Aysgarth Falls, the 4-star AA rated hotel dates back to the mid-eighteenth century with the pub section older still.
Current owners, Steve and Heather Swann, bought the property back in June 2010 when it was then known as Palmer Flatt Hotel.
Major refurbishment was carried out to create 13 guest rooms, a pub, a dining area and conservatory restaurant, and outdoor terrace.
Mark Worley, director at Christie & Co who is handling the sale, said: “This is an excellent coaching inn/hotel, beautifully situated among stunning fells and pretty valleys, presented to a very high standard. As well as this, the business is highly profitable, so the new buyer will not only have a wonderful way of life, they will also make a lot of money too.”
Aysgarth Falls has become a tourist hotspot since its feature in the film The Robin Hood Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner and in the 1992 film Wuthering Heights.
