IT firm powers on as turnover doubles

Phil Mercer and Steve Beaumont.

IT automation specialist PowerON, which launched three years ago, has seen its turnover almost double to over £2m.

The company which provides IT management and cloud automation solutions, also recruited 11 staff during the past year, taking its total headcount to 27.

PowerON was founded in 2015 by IT experts Phil Mercer and Steve Beaumont.

Other highlights for the year include relocating its York headquarters to Stanley Harrison House, which forms part of The Chocolate Works, to complement its offices in Lincolnshire and Surrey.

Mercer, who is PowerON’s solutions and services director, says: “The last 12 months have been hugely successful and we completely outstripped expectations following notable contract wins across both the public and private sectors.

“In another major development, we’ve recently acquired the intellectual property rights for cloud-based IT infrastructure monitoring product, Tibana from Nubigenus, which we have incorporated into our Pulse Product Suite.  This will support our continued drive to bring our product business to the fore, with several very innovative subscription based products that we have developed coming to market this year.

“A notable product is our Pulse Device Management & Security Platform, that will transform the way that our customers can modernise clients to Windows 10 and manage and secure their client devices.  This makes it a very exciting time for us and we’re now planning to create at least eight new jobs over the coming months.”
