People: Promotions at wealth management firm; New general manager for Moorhead Group; and more

York investment, pensions and wealth management specialists Walker Crips has announced a trio of promotions, which has seen Dominic Martin, Wendy Eastwood and Don Formhals succeed the interim head of the York office, Nigel Skelton.

Martin has been promoted to managing director, Walker Crips Wealth Management, and Eastwood has been promoted to managing director, Walker Crips Pensions. Skelton is returning to his former senior investment portfolio manager role within the business.

Formhals, the former finance director in York, will become the York group finance and operations director.

Bulk excavation, demolition and site remediation specialist Moorhead Group, based in Leeds, has announced the appointment of a new divisional general manager.

Jonathan Porter will be setting up and spearheading the company’s North East division from a new office in Castle Eden near Durham.

The company said the new appointment will allow Moorhead to be competitive for work in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teeside and will complement the Leeds-based regional team, allowing Moorhead to deliver work throughout the North of England.

Managing director Colin Fitton said: “Jonathan has a proven track record in the implementation of modern technology to improve the quality and efficiency of site work, both at pre-contract planning stages and during delivery, thereby saving time, reducing cost and minimising errors. Jonathan and his team in the North East will be looking to work with our client base as early in the project cycle as possible to offer value-engineering cost savings and as always we will be striving to deliver exceptional quality at site level.”

Jayne Kadis has been appointed by Leeds and York-based office interiors specialist Ben Johnson Interiors as brand manager.

Ben Johnson Interiors has recently completed the HQ office interior for CPP in Leeds and has also designed and built a string of large workspaces for national clients including Unilever; BT; Taylor Wimpey; The Rank Group; commercial property giant DTZ, with many more in the pipeline.

Kadis brings with her over 12 years’ marketing experience, starting her career as a marketing assistant in 2005 and working her way up to becoming a brand manager.   She has a degree in Business Studies and the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Professional Certificate.

She said: “I love working in marketing. It’s so creative, often unpredictable and each day is different. For Ben Johnson Interiors I’ll be making marketing plans and strategies, communicating the brand consistently across all available marketing channels, creating artwork, conducting market research and writing for offline and online media.”
