Traffic Alert: Crash causes closures on A1 North Yorkshire

The A1M in North Yorkshire is currently closed southbound between J56 and J53 following a crash which has caused a large spillage and severe barrier damage.

The closure will remain in place while extensive clean-up and emergency safety repairs take place.

Traffic is being diverted through Middleton Tyas, however road users are still advised to plan ahead, considering alternative routes where possible and to allow plenty of extra time to complete their journeys.
