Jobs promised as building products firm snaps up 68,000 sq ft warehouse

A freehold 168,000 sq ft warehouse on the Normanby Enterprise Park in Scunthorpe has been sold to Kestrel Building Products, which operates from the adjacent building.

Kestrel is going to connect the building to its existing premises to create a much larger production area and warehouse/distribution facility.

The company said the expansion will create increased employment opportunities and represents the company’s commitment and confidence in the town.

The building was previously occupied for over 25 years by garden furniture importers Li-Lo Leisure.

Duncan Willey, divisional director PPH Commercial, who oversaw the deal, said: “It is really encouraging for confidence in the area to see a building as large as this being sold. The purchasers identified growth within their business, and with the neighbouring property being available this gave them the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The property provides over 168,000 sq ft by way of two buildings on a site of approx 6.62 acres.”

The property was on the market at a price of £4.25m.
