Tasty six-figure acquisition for catering firm

Leeds catering company Blue Pepper Catering is expanding following the acquisition of New Yorkshire Foods for a six-figure sum.

Owner and executive chef David Swade left behind his rosette starred restaurant career to set up Blue Pepper in 2013.  His interest in the corporate events and business sector prompted the initiative which has grown to support a professional team of eight.

The firm has now acquired New Yorkshire Foods, which now means it operates four liveried vans delivering  lunches to the Leeds business sector, Monday to Friday; a service which complements its established outside catering service for events.

New Yorkshire Foods operated successfully for 14 years and Swade is committed to continuing to service its customer base while adding new clients to the daily delivery run.

Swade said: “Creating innovative amazing food is what gets the Blue Pepper team out of bed in the morning and we’re lucky to have a number of fantastic local suppliers for fresh ingredients which is the basis for quality catering. It’s very exciting to be growing and offering this new service to the business community in the area.”
