Yorkshire manufacturer strives for further global success
Huddersfield-based Andel, Britain’s largest manufacturer of specialist in-building water, oil and gas leak detection systems, is pursuing further growth in overseas markets following its global success.
The firm has seen exports grow 20% year-on-year and representatives from the firm will now visit Australia, Singapore and the Netherlands this month to meet international distributors.
Mark Harris, commercial director at Andel, said: “Exports play a huge part in our growth strategy. They are up 20 per cent year-on-year and we want to continue to capitalise on this by working with key distributors overseas to reach new and growing markets.
“We are increasingly looking outside the Eurozone for future growth in light of Brexit and are embarking on a sustained export drive to take advantage of the weaker pound.
“We started exporting to Australia two and half years ago and our sales there have been building steadily ever since. We are also growing significantly in Singapore.”
For over a quarter of a century, Andel has worked across all major industry sectors in the UK and globally with customers including The Houses of Parliament, The Pentagon, Barclays, Hong Kong International Airport, GlaxoSmithKline and Google.
