180 jobs to be created as grade-II listed hotel set for Spring 2019 opening

Luxury hotel Grantley Hall, located at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is set to launch a recruitment drive ahead of its spring 2019 opening.

The hotel’s senior management team is now in place, which will be led by general manager Andrew McPherson.

Once open, Grantley Hall is expected to create approximately 180 new jobs.

Situated near Ripon, Grantley Hall is a Grade-II listed property complete with a lake and English-heritage listed Japanese garden.

The multi-million pound restoration project, overseen by owners the Sykes family, will see the Country house transform into a luxury hotel and wellness retreat with 47 rooms and suites and a wide range of dining options.

Samantha Fearnley, director of HR, will be leading the recruitment drive.

There are a diverse range of job opportunities, suited to varying levels of experience across all hotel departments including food and beverage, fitness and wellness, housekeeping, front of house, maintenance and back of house.

All Grantley Hall team members will benefit from the Grantley Academy, an accredited learning and development facility for Grantley Hall employees, with dedicated learning zones, located in the East Lodge.

All staff will have bespoke personal development plans offering opportunities for growth and progression, as well as individual training and wellbeing programmes delivered using accelerated learning techniques.

Staff accommodation will be available in the new Courtyard Building featuring 49 ensuite bedrooms, several kitchens, informal lounge areas, cinema room, a fully-equipped gymnasium with fitness classes including yoga and mindfulness planned.

A staff dining room, laundry facilities and an outdoor seating area will also be available.
