Final chance to claim your place as one of Yorkshire’s Top Technology companies

It is the final call for the region’s cutting edge and innovative companies to claim their place as one of Yorkshire’s Top Technology companies.

The deadline for Top Tech Yorkshire has been extended until close of business on Wednesday 3 October.

Top Tech Yorkshire has been launched by the Leeds office of law firm Mills & Reeve, in partnership with TheBusinessDesk.com. It is open to companies that are putting the county on the map as a growing hub for technological development and innovation. That may be by developing world leading technology, disrupting the market, or using technology and services to give their clients a competitive edge.

Entrants will be judged on technological innovation, leadership, growth and financial performance, client service and delivery and employee engagement.

The report will also help companies gain access to and build a network across all sectors including the investment community, banking and brand developers to help grow their business.

Mills & Reeve partner Paul Johnson said: “We have received some excellent entries which demonstrate that the Yorkshire region is a hotbed of technological innovation. To give more companies a chance to take part, we have extended the deadline. Being featured in the Top Tech Yorkshire is an excellent opportunity for companies to showcase what they have to offer and get their business in front of a growing network of funders and advisers who can help catapult it to the next stage of development.”

Top Tech Yorkshire follows the launch of Mills & Reeve’s Tech Tuesday – a monthly event held every third Tuesday at The Brewery Tap, dedicated to providing a regular opportunity for people in the Leeds tech ecosystem to meet up with existing contacts and make new ones over a drink or two.

The Top Tech judging panel includes:

Richard Carter, managing director, Equiniti Credit Services (previously CEO of Nostrum Group which was acquired by Equiniti in 2017)

Dr Mark Wyatt, investment director, Mercia Fund Managers

Richard Faulkner, managing director, Technology Banking at Silicon Valley Bank

Phil Smith, Research Analyst (Technology), SP Angel

Mark Fahy, former head of UK SMEs at the London Stock Exchange

Josh Robson, head of policy and public relations at the ScaleUp Institute

Shubhu Patil, principal associate in the corporate team at the Leeds office of Mills & Reeve, who has a focus on tech sector businesses.

Top Tech Yorkshire will be revealed at the launch event on 18 October at The Shears Yard in Leeds.

The companies will be featured in the report which will be published on TheBusinessdesk.com and available for download the following day, providing featured businesses with huge profile opportunities.
