People: Business advisory firm announces raft of appointments; Director changes at CYBG; Lawyer joins new property team; and more

Business advisory firm Deloitte has strengthened its Transaction Services and Corporate Finance teams in the Yorkshire region, with eight new staff members joining the teams along with a number of promotions.

The investment in the team follows the promotion of mergers & acquisitions (M&A) specialist Dan Renton to partner in the corporate finance practice in June this year. Renton, who has been with Deloitte for 13 years, has spent the bulk of his career in corporate finance across the region, with a focus on private company M&A.

For the Transaction Services and Corporate Finance teams, Andrew Ward has been promoted to director. Having been with the firm for seven years, Ward has gained knowledge with corporate and private equity clients in the local market, alongside a specialism in consumer products and retail nationally.

Both Meera Daby and Marcus Tregoning have been promoted to assistant directors.

The Transaction Services team has welcomed two new managers; Rachelle Leonard, who has previously worked at William Hill, and Alex Brown, who joins from the Deloitte offshore advisory team.

Further new talent includes Sarah Robertshaw, joining the team as an assistant manager from her previous role at EY. New graduate Sam Foster has also joined the team and is carrying out his Association of Chartered Accountancy (ACA) studies with Deloitte.

The Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory team also continues to develop with Peter Reynolds joining as an executive from the Manchester office and Ollie Burdass moving to support the team, having been in audit at Deloitte for the past three years.

Henry Pearson and Ben Wright’s moves into debt advisory complete the new team.

Matt Henderson, Deloitte’s Transaction Services partner, said: “It has been brilliant to expand our Transaction Services and Corporate Finance teams, acquiring excellent new talent and utilising existing strengths.

“With such a sustainable market the investments in our team will help facilitate this demand, aiding businesses to reach their ambitious long-term growth plans.”

“Both Ann and Sue are highly capable and experienced in supporting families with the greatest level of understanding and care, so we are delighted to have them on our team.”
