35 jobs lost as door manufacturer enters administration

Sheffield door manufacturing firm Longden Doors has entered administration after suffering “severe cashflow pressures,” resulting in 35 redundancies.

Emily Ball and John Lowe at FRP Advisory LLP have been appointed Joint Administrators of Longden Doors. The firm was a bespoke manufacturer of high-quality solid timber doors, doorsets and screens.

The company had suffered severe cashflow pressures in recent months and this led it to enter administration. The business ceased to trade on 6th February and 35 employees were made redundant.

Following their appointment, the Joint Administrators are now in discussions to complete the sale of business’ assets and three employees have been retained to support with the orderly wind down of the business.

Emily Ball, director at FRP Advisory, said: “Our focus is now supporting those employees affected during this difficult time and securing a sale of the business’ assets to ensure the best outcome possible for creditors.”
