Planning permission secured for 290 new homes development

Plans have been approved for a new residential development in Garforth, Leeds.

Persimmon Homes appealed against Leeds council’s decision and was granted planning permission for the development of 290 homes as well as the demolition of an existing dwelling on the site.

The Planning & Environment team from law firm Walker Morris secured the planning permission.

The scheme will provide 15% affordable housing as well as public open space and contributions to the improvements to infrastructure including bus stops and local walkways.

Richard Sagar, partner in the Planning & Environment team at Walker Morris, acted as an advocate for Persimmon Homes. Robert Moore, director, provided legal and specialist strategic advice.
