Bank announces relocation to 2,000 sq ft office space

Handelsbanken is to relocate its Leeds team into Lawnswood Business Park after securing an 11-year lease on 2,000 sq ft office space.

Hillview Real Estate, the new owner of the business park, has announced that it has secured its newest occupier in a deal concluded by joint agents JLL and WSB. Handelsbanken will take the office space on the first floor of Gladstone House. The bank is relocating its office from Headingley.

Andy Lowther, Leeds Headingley Branch Manager at Handelsbanken, said: “As our team in Headlingley continues to grow we wanted to find a suitable location that offers modern facilities with good communication links and improved access and parking for customers and staff.

“Our collaboration with Carter Towler has enabled us to find just that. The new premises at Lawnswood will help us support even more local businesses and individuals with their banking requirements. We are looking forward to moving in within the next couple of months.”

Dom Ketteringham from Hillview Real Estate, said: “We acquired Lawnswood Business Park in December last year having recognised its undoubted growth potential. Handelsbanken’s arrival is testament to the quality of the space on offer and they are a fantastic addition, to what is already a strong tenant mix.

“Set against the back drop of a limited supply of new offices being built in Leeds this year, we have around 17,000 sq ft of space currently available. With businesses continuing to seek quality offices in the best locations, Lawnswood Business Park is extremely well positioned to attract further tenants over the coming months.”

Lawnswood Business Park is made up of eight buildings and is currently let to tenants including Aramark, BMA, HM Customs & Excise, Fuel Card, BHP Accountants, Brenntag and Equinti. The office park location fronts the Leeds outer ring road.
