Another Clarion call for Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge

Leading law firm Clarion has confirmed its continuing sponsorship of one of the region’s biggest corporate sporting challenges.

The company has supported the Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge since it was first held in 2007 and will again sponsor the event in 2019.

A race within a race, the challenge has grown into a popular feature of the Asda Foundation Leeds 10K, organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All. It is open to teams of at least five members – there is no upper limit – with the times of the first three runners home used to calculate the winners.

Over 700 runners representing a total of 60 teams took part in this year’s challenge, which was won by Deloitte with an average time of 40:24.

Roger Hutton, Clarion’s joint managing partner, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge and Run For All. Not only does the event foster an element of friendly inter-business and sector rivalry, it provides an excellent opportunity for organisations across Yorkshire to support a good cause of their choice. We are already looking forward to the 2019 run.”

Mike Tomlinson, Run For All Chief Executive, said: “We are enormously grateful to Clarion for their continuing and tremendous support of the Corporate Challenge. They have been involved since the start and their commitment helps ensure our corporate runners have a great day.”

The 2019 Leeds 10K takes place on Sunday 7 July. For more information about the run and the Corporate Challenge go to www.runforall.com
