Orthodontic business makes five-figure tech investment to increase productivity

ArchformByte, the Sheffield-based orthodontic business, has invested around £25,000 in new software to increase productivity.

The new software, Qualify CaseTrac, allows both clinician and technician to monitor the progress of each individual patient case as it transits through the laboratory.

Each case that comes into the laboratory is tracked and monitored at each stage, as it follows the process from scanning, 3D printing, forming, finishing, quality control and despatching.

In addition, each clinician has their own login to enable them to upload all the prescriptions, scans and photos and to view progress of their patient’s case.

Once a case is accepted, the clinician is notified that a C Thru Review is ready for assessment.

Half of the funding for the Qualify CaseTrac software, which was created by Original Software Ltd, was granted by the European Regional Development Fund.

ArchformByte is a specialist orthodontic laboratory, which manufactures everything that straightens, whitens or protects teeth including C Thru clear aligners for straightening teeth, Monarch mouthguards for all sports, anti-snoring appliances, fixed appliances, removable appliances, digital models and 3d scanning services.

Pennie Hudson Ward, CEO of ArchformByte, said: “High levels of productivity are of paramount importance, as unnecessary delays can cost clinicians considerable chairside time and money.

“We are always looking for new technology that will increase our current capacity and allow us to constantly improve delivery times for our clients. We are already seeing the benefits of Qualify CaseTrac and our customers have given us some fantastic feedback on the transparent, efficient service that it is allowing us to deliver more cost effectively.”
