Leeds United teams up with anti-money laundering business

Anti-money laundering firm SmartSearch has teamed up with Leeds United through its business club.

Founded in 2011, the Leeds-based business employs 90 people and specialises in anti-money laundering software for businesses. It has 3,500 customers and relocated to new offices in Ilkley last summer to keep up with increasing demand and growth.

The Leeds United Business Club hosts events, including dinners and Q&As with former players, where members are invited to network with their fellow partners.

John Dobson, founder and CEO of SmartSearch and marketing director James Dobson already support Ilkley Rugby Club, Ilkley Business Awards and various other charities.

Dobson said: “We are an international business with more than 3,100 customers across the world, but our roots, here in Leeds are really important to us.

“We have always supported Leeds United and already have numerous season ticket holders at SmartSearch. There are a lot of fans who work for us too, so it just seemed like a really great fit.”

“There are so many Yorkshire businesses that could potentially benefit from our platform, so being able to network with other Leeds Business Club members at these events could open up lots of opportunities for us and we are really looking forward to being a part of it.”
