Traffic Alert: M1 West Yorkshire closed in both directions

The M1 in West Yorkshire is closed in both directions due to a crash.

Closures are between J38 (A637, Huddersfield) and J39 (A636, Wakefield). West Yorkshire Police and air ambulance are on scene.

Northbound traffic is being diverted. From J38, take the A637 and travel for three miles, to the junction with the A636. From here, take the A636 and continue for a further three miles, to the junction with M1 J39, and rejoin the M1 northbound.

Southbound traffic should follow the hollow triangle symbol, via the A636 and A637 (reverse of the northbound diversion).
