Engineering firm secures 2,200 sq ft space
Engineering consultancy Wardell Armstrong has agreed a five-year lease for a 2,200 sq ft suite within the newly refurbished 36 Park Row building in Leeds.
APAM, the specialist UK real estate asset and investment manager, has secured the firm as a tenant at following a £1m upgrade of the building. APAM’s refurbishment included converting four suites into 8,000 sq ft of modern boutique office space.
Wardell Armstrong is renting the space at £22.50 per sq ft. Mike Hassall, the Wardell Armstrong Chairman, said: “Providing an attractive office location and environment is important to our business as we continue to recruit quality people and build our presence in the Region.”
Other tenants in the building include Syndicate 2525, Royal Haskoning DHV, Leonard Curtis and Chiropractic First.
Elizabeth Ridler, partner in the office agency team of Knight Frank in Leeds, said: “This deal follows quickly on the back of the letting earlier this year to Syndicate 2525 and means that two out of the original four refurbished suites are now let, with one under offer and one remaining, less than six months after the completion of the first phase of refurbishment.
“Phase Two has just started on site and will be available from September. This will involve the refurbishment of the showers together with the remaining accommodation totalling just under 11,600 sq ft in suites from 990 sq ft, of which 5,928 sq ft is already under offer.”
