Firm’s northern team totals £850m deal value

A northern corporate finance team has advised on more than 30 deals already in 2019, with a combined value in excess of £850m.
The BDO team advises privately-owned, private equity-backed and FTSE-listed businesses across the north, nationally and internationally on mergers and acquisitions, transaction services (buy-side and sell-side due diligence), as well as tax advisory services.
So far this year, the team has advised on a number of high profile regional deals including: advising wireless infrastructure specialist Spyder Facilities on its sale to global investment firm Digital Colony; advising Simon Sadler in relation to the acquisition of Blackpool Football Club and advising process automation specialist Lambert Engineering on its sale to AIM-listed packaging solutions provider Mpac Group plc.
Jason Whitworth, M&A partner at BDO, said: “Despite political turbulence both here and globally, and with important Brexit decisions on the horizon, the team has had a busy start to the year, and it’s great to see that deal activity has remained strong. We look forward to seeing where the second half of 2019 will take us.”
