94-apartment city centre development taking shape

The developer behind a prestigious residential development in the centre of Hull is set to unveil more details of the scheme.

Work is underway on The Glass House, in Queen’s Gardens, which will comprise 94 apartments and penthouses in the former police station property when complete. Stripped back to a concrete shell, two storeys have been added to the building and fully glazed around the outside.

The business working on the site, Iguana Developments, has invited guests to Ferens Art Gallery on Saturday 28th September at 10am to view plans and interior CGI images. People will also have the opportunity to make reservations on any of the apartments.

Iguana Developments Managing Director, Jason Coleman, said: “As our experience grows, each development gets better and we guarantee that buyers will not be disappointed with The Glass House. This development raises the bar on our trademark smart amenities, which make city living so chic.

“At the open day we will announce the pricing structure of the one, two, three and four bedroom park-facing apartments which are aimed at owner-occupiers to create a six star experience in terms of location and exciting new features.”

“We like to avoid cramming in lots of apartments and instead increase the square footage of each home and maximise space throughout the building. In the basement we have located a large fully equipped gym and cinema and for the first time we have put in a private dining room with kitchen facilities and a large co-working office space.

“Developments in London and other large cities around the UK provide these types of facilities to enhance the experience of city apartments and if its good enough for our capital, its good enough for Hull.

“The co-working area is for residents who want to work from home but don’t necessarily want to work alone in their apartment. This helps us to create a community atmosphere for people get to know each other and maybe even the opportunity to do business together.

“Two key components are the future-proofed broadband with 1,000 mpbs capability plugged into each apartment. Installed by Pure Broadband, residents do not share bandwidth with other properties in the area. There is also undercroft parking for 105 vehicles.”

“The crowning glory is the duplex penthouses, some of which already have first dibs from local buyers. These split level apartments have terraces around the outside, en-suites for each bedroom and unrivalled south-facing views of Queen’s Gardens.”
