Consultancy expands global reach with deal to use supply chain technology

Huddersfield-based supply chain and logistics consultancy SCALA has announced a new ongoing partnership with global supply chain software developer LLamasoft.

It gives SCALA and its clients access to LLamasoft’s cutting-edge supply chain modelling technology.

With support from experienced consultants, the technology empowers businesses to accurately visualise their supply chain and navigate rapidly changing market conditions, helping them to cut costs, improve their service and reduce risk.

The software will enhance SCALA’s ability to support its clients in improving their ongoing decision-making, helping them to predict and manage how external and internal forces – such as tariffs, Brexit, evolving customer expectations and a desire for sustainability – will impact their supply chain.

With ambitious plans for international growth, the partnership will also enable SCALA to compete with global consultancies for major strategic projects, both domestically and across Europe.

John Perry, Managing Director at the business, said: “Modelling and analytics software is one of the most important tools when it comes to helping businesses make informed decisions regarding their supply chain and logistics networks, and ensuring they are resilient to future business changes.

“Given its position as the industry-leader in supply chain modelling technology, we are delighted to be partnering with LLamasoft.

“The software will not only improve our modelling capabilities and enhance our offering to current clients, but will also help to solidify our growing reputation as an international consultancy.”
