2,250 sq ft of refurbished office space snapped up by e-commerce business

E-commerce specialist 9xb has taken on a lease for 2,250 sq ft (209 sq m) of recently refurbished office accommodation at Town Centre House in Harrogate.

The property is a contemporary commercial building occupying a prime location at the junction between Cheltenham Parade and Cheltenham Crescent.

Due to ongoing expansion, 9xb has let the second floor of Town Centre House – making it the local business’s second location in the region alongside its central Leeds office. The work space has been refurbished to provide a high quality open plan area.

9xb has experienced a consistent period of growth, during which time the business has increased its headcount by 24%, meaning it needed bigger, more purpose-built premises.

Rob Burns, Managing Director at 9xb, said: “Harrogate has been 9xb’s home since its inception in 2004, and we’re delighted we’ve found a new, modern space that accommodates our growing team.

“With companies continuing to invest heavily in e-commerce, and looking for alternative, more flexible solutions, 9xb is in a fantastic place to capitalise on the continued growth of online, and we look forward to doing it from our new office.”

The offices were let to 9xb by national property consultancy Carter Jonas. Chris Hartnell, Associate Partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Harrogate continues to have an acute shortage of office accommodation, and demand is especially concentrated in the sub-3,000 sq ft or sub-278 sq m market – with competition among local SMEs increasing for space. As such, tenants can find it challenging when it comes to managing their real estate requirements.

“Given these factors, we are proud to have let Town Centre House to 9xb. It represents a rare opportunity for the e-commerce specialist to take advantage of all the town centre has to offer for a booming business.”
