Estate agent opens new branch to include in-house mortgage shop

The estate agent Manning Stainton has moved from its current premise in Wakefield to a larger unit, so it can incorporate a Mortgage Advice Bureau service.

It opened the doors to its new branch on October 2, and will offer its usual estate-agency services alongside specialist mortgage advice and access to thousands of mortgage deals that can be arranged in-house.

With the closure of many high street banks, the new mortgage shop will provide customers with a much-needed local service and access to mortgage deals that suit their specific requirements.

Manning Stainton has operated in Wakefield since 2004 and was at its last premises at 54 Northgate for six of those years.

Chris Appleton, Wakefield branch manager, said: “We decided to move to larger premises so that alongside our usual offer, we can now provide an enhanced mortgage advice service.

“We want to be a one-stop high-street shop for home buyers and help to make house buying in Wakefield easier and more seamless.”

The new shop will be open from 9am-5.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9am-4pm on Saturdays and 11am-3pm on Sundays.

Manning Stainton has 19 sales and letting branches across Wakefield, Leeds, and Wetherby. The company also operates Fine & Country, its specialist division that deals with high-value and unique properties.
