Funding package provides bigger base for expanding care provider
Care provider Dignicare has moved into new larger office space in North Yorkshire thanks to a six-figure funding package from NatWest.
Dignicare has used the £300,000 funding to purchase and renovate a grade II listed barn in Skipton, which had lain unused for more than 15 years.
The space which is five times the size of the firm’s previous rented offices in Bingley, has been fully restored over two years to include a boardroom, open stone hallway, gallery landing, open plan office space with exposed oak beams and a kitchen.
The company was founded in 2008 by qualified nurse Gizelle Armstrong and another business partner, with Armstrong taking full ownership of the business in 2014. Dignicare provides quality care and support for elderly people helping them live as independently as possible. The company, which has tripled in size since Armstrong took ownership, operates a team of 50 staff, with plans to increase this by 30 over the next two years.
Armstrong said: “We were recently highlighted as being one of the potential top 10 growing companies in the region. The purchase of our new office space, which has been funded by NatWest, will allow us to implement growth plans and employ more people in the local area.
“We are now well placed to take on more staff and increase the size and reach of the services we provide, helping more elderly people get the care and companionship they need.”
