Commercial interiors business unveils plan for 16,000 sq ft head office and showroom

A commercial interiors business, Ultimate (Commercial Interiors) Ltd, is building a new head office, showroom and warehouse facility in West Yorkshire.

The 16,000 sq ft property is due for completion in December this year. Ultimate had previously identified a need for a purpose-built destination which end users, architects and designers, project managers and consultants could visit and use as a design hub.

Ultimate is currently based in Silsden, and has regional offices in Manchester, Newcastle and Liverpool. The company was founded in 2002, and has experienced strong, consistent growth, having completed projects for clients such as CEG, Ove Arup & Partners, Skipton Building Society, Walkers Snack Foods, Accor Hotels and Holiday Inn Hotels.

In a joint statement, company owners Mark Hickey, Mark Naisbitt and Dan Platt, said: “The showroom will be the go-to destination in the North for commercial interiors, not only housing the biggest range of products in the industry but also the trusted expertise of our team.

“We want the client experience to be a journey from the moment they walk into the building.”

The space will have zones showcasing current trends within the commercial industry including the latest office furniture ranges and a materials laboratory with samples of all the latest interior finishes.

In addition, there will be a working open plan office, with presentation areas, operational zones, a mock-up hotel bedroom and bar area.

The firm’s directors added: “We are extremely excited for the future and the opportunities this space will present.

“Since 2015, the company has seen significant growth of 115% and it seems only fitting to celebrate this with the opening of the showroom. The new HQ will aid us in our plan of achieving a £20m turnover by 2021.”

With a launch event planned for early spring next year, the showroom is being designed through a collaboration between four interior designers and architects – This Is Interiors, Bowman Riley Architects, Cocoon & Bauer and Rance Booth Smith Architects.
