Merger sees developer join forces with property maintenance business

Doncaster-based companies, Dapatchi Group and Newton Property Maintenance (NPM), have merged after successfully working together over the last few years.

Dapatchi Group is a national property developer with in-house design and contracting teams. It has a particular focus on breathing new life into old and unloved buildings, and turning unused spaces into modern, luxurious housing. This year will see Dapatchi deliver 239 new homes and work in over 20 towns around the country.

NPM offers a range of services including maintenance, repairs and installation works for domestic, commercial and residential landlord clients. It has a large team of skilled workers spanning multiple trades.

Dapatchi has previously used NPM as a contractor to deliver projects and has now put together a merger deal to incorporate NPM within the Dapatchi Construction team. Dapatchi already had a team of around 60 staff and will see that number swell to about 80 with the merger.

Dan Pattrick, founder and managing director of Dapatchi Group, said: “The NPM team bring with them decades of experience and a wide range of skills. We are excited to have them joining us and are looking forward to what the future brings.

“We aim to be an employer of choice where our staff feel valued and part of the team, so we are pleased to see our staff team grow with the addition of more local tradespeople.

“Our main motivation at Dapatchi is to add value to everything we are involved with. Whether that is our developments, our clients, our people or the communities we work in. We are always looking for ways to add value and for opportunities to create win-win business.

“As a local man, I am very proud to have a large team of local people working across the UK. Working in partnership with NPM felt like the right thing to do and it will increase our capacity to add value and serve more people.”
