New Yorkshire editor
TheBusinessDesk.com has appointed a new Yorkshire editor.
Ben Ormsby joined the team at the end of November and is now based at the company’s Leeds office at The Round Foundry Media Centre.
TheBusinessDesk.com, currently operates in four regions, with teams also on the ground in the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands.
Ben is well-known in the region from his previous roles at Leeds City Region LEP and Keepmoat Homes. He will be responsible for leading the Yorkshire office and delivering content about the region’s businesses across a range of sectors.
Ben said: “I am delighted to be joining TheBusinessDesk.com as it continues to grow its editorial and commercial output. I’ve worked with each of the regional teams since the start of my career and I look forward to sourcing and sharing the best business news from across the whole of county and to shining a light upon the fantastic organisations which exist here.”
His appointment comes towards the end of another successful year for the company.
Audience figures are at a record high while its events programme continues to grow. The first Northern Leadership Awards, held in Leeds last week, was a great success as it celebrated the achievements of inspirational business leaders.

Ben will work closely with Miran Rahman, who joined the firm earlier this year as the Yorkshire business reporter, having previously worked for the Keighley News.
