New chief executive officer for house builder

Listed housebuilder M J Gleeson has appointed a new chief executive officer.
James Thomson, currently the firm’s interim chief executive officer, has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis with immediate effect. The appointment follows a comprehensive search process, led by an external search firm, which included internal and external candidates.
Mr Thomson joined the Sheffield- headquartered business in June after the Gleeson’s previous CEO quit over a pay package row and has a wealth of experience in the house building and property sector having been chief executive officer at Keepmoat Homes until January 2019, growing its delivery from 1,517 homes a year to over 4,000 homes a year today.

James Thomson, CEO, commented on his appointment saying:
