£2.7m turnover forecast for growing recruitment company

A Doncaster-based recruitment consultancy is celebrating a successful year of business less than two years after setting up.

Orb Recruitment, which was established in April 2018, achieved a £1m turnover in its first year of trading. It is focusing on the manufacturing and production, healthcare and construction and engineering sectors.

Rapid growth has seen its forecasts for year two predict a 170% increase in revenue and 158% increase in profit with turnover forecast to rise to 2.7m.

The company has supported over 250 Doncaster residents to achieve sustainable long-term employment in the last 12 months. All temporary roles are above the National Minimum Wage with most being above the average for each industry supported.

Orb Recruitment has also helped 42 candidates improve their skills base by accessing a variety of training courses.

For non-funded courses, it has contributed over £5,000 towards training including warehouse and machinery operating qualifications, the Construction Skills Certification Card and mandatory training courses for care workers.

The business has its headquarters in Balby Carr and employs nine staff.
