Majority investment made in manufacturer

Newable Capital, a leading provider of investment to UK SMEs has invested in Leeds-based ARC Building Solutions, taking a majority stake for an undisclosed sum.
ARC has grown since its launch in 2008 to become the market leader in manufacturing and supplying cavity fire barriers to the UK house building and construction markets.
The investment by Newable Capital coincides with a factory move on Gildersome Spur, Leeds, which doubles the capacity of the previous facility. This will enable further improvements in production processes to better cope with increased demand for products.
Newable Capital’s investment follows the recent appointment of Peter Barrand as Managing Director. He commented, “The Newable Capital team has screened over 300 investment opportunities this year and ARC is the first of a number of strategic investments we plan to make in the coming months. We are delighted to be supporting Andrew, Russell and the team through the next phase of growth.”
Founding shareholder at ARC, Andrew Danzey said, “ARC has been looking for a new investor for a period of time who can help provide the finance and support to help us drive the business forward as we move to the new factory, develop new products and expand across the UK. We are delighted to be working with Newable Capital to help realise the potential of the business.”
Mr Danzey, along with fellow founding shareholder Russell Irving, will continue with the company, which currently employs 60 members of staff.
