Retailer hires listed firm for five-year logistics contract
Leeds-headquartered retail logistics business Clipper Logistics has won a five-year contract to provide logistics services for British lifestyle brand Joules.
Following a staff consultation period the contract is planned to start early this year with sites employing about 200 staff. There will be a multi-million pound investment programme into the Joules operation during 2020 and 2021 to expand capacity, drive efficiency and modernise the facilities.
The fast-moving fulfilment and logistics operation will involve inbound deliveries from a variety of UK based and international suppliers over seven days a week and will fulfil orders for the retail, e-commerce and wholesale customers of the Joules brand.
