Progress made on constructing new apartment complex

Developer Quattro Property Group has marked the latest construction milestone at Southfield & Ellis House, its 20-apartment development in Harrogate.

A topping out ceremony was staged at the scheme, attended by the town’s Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor Stuart Martin and April Martin.

Contractor Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction redeveloped the former Southfield House office building on Station Parade in central Harrogate to deliver nine apartments, as well as creating Ellis House, a new property which will accommodate a further 11 apartments with full undercroft parking.

The external build is now complete and internal works have now started with the first show apartment due to launch in late March and practical completion earmarked for quarter two this year.

The scheme, which sits within a conservation area on the corner of Station Parade and York Place, has been designed to breathe new life into this site while uniting the development with the architecture and history of surrounding buildings.

Richard Lumley, chairman of Quattro Property Group, said: “We are delighted to reach this important building milestone for our Harrogate apartment scheme which is on track for completion in quarter two this year.

“It seemed only fitting to invite the local Mayor and Mayoress to help us mark this traditional construction landmark.

“We are excited to deliver a luxury development in one of the best locations in central Harrogate and look forward to unveiling our first show apartment in Easter.”
