Investor snaps up 27,697 sq ft of city offices

Investment business Investream, represented by real estate advisor Savills, has acquired Vantage House in Leeds city centre from The Church Commissioner for England, for more than the £5.95m asking price.

Located at 21/23 Wellington Street, the Grade II listed office building provides workspace across a total of 27,697 sq ft (2,574 sq m) and is currently fully let to The Secretary of State for Health on a lease expiring in December 2020.

Prominently located in the heart of the traditional business district, the property is situated about 150m from Leeds Railway Station.

Mark Wilson, investment director at Savills Leeds, said: “Located in a prime city centre position, Vantage House offers a high quality asset in a very attractive occupational market, whilst also benefiting from significant development opportunities when the current lease expires at the end of this year.”

Investream has said it is keen to acquire similar properties across UK regional cities.

The Church Commissioner for England was represented by Griffiths Eccles and Lambert Smith Hampton.
