Strong growth for information service company

Data analysis and information provider, GlobalData has reported a strong growth in 2019.

In its latest unaudited year end results to the 31 December 2019, the firm which has operations in Hull, increased revenue to £178.2m. This increase is claimed to be the result of a shift toward a centralised operating model and single product platform, enabling the firm to “accelerate new product development”.

Commented on the results, Bernard Cragg, Chairman of GlobalData said: “We continue to make impressive strides forward on our strategic priorities whilst still delivering strong financial results. Our strong business model demonstrates the characteristics that define best in-class information services companies.”

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, Mr Cragg cites that the global and political and economic environment remains uncertain and is amplified by the current coronavirus outbreak. However the Chairman stated, “we remain confident in our business model and our ability to execute well.”
