Green light given for more than 225 new homes

Mixed-tenure UK developer, Countryside, has officially received planning consent for its Manor Woods residential development in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire.

Upon completion, the site will feature 225 beautiful two, three and four-bedroom homes to cater to local families of all sizes.

The news follows Countryside’s public exhibition, held earlier this month, to enable residents to meet the developer and view the proposed plans. First homes will be available for sale from March.

The developer says the planning permission is good news for the Yorkshire region, noting that the region currently needs an estimated 18,000 new homes to enter the market every year.

And it is the second development to be announced by Countryside for Yorkshire, with City Fields in Wakefield already taking reservations.

Christopher Penn, regional operations director, Partnerships Yorkshire, Countryside, said: “We are delighted to be officially launching our Manor Woods development here in Kirkbymoorside.

“We have a proven track record right across the country for delivering high quality and affordable homes where we’ve identified demand and we’re eager to bring this experience to Yorkshire.

“We’ve worked very closely with the council throughout this process to ensure the new Manor Woods neighbourhood not only provides beautiful family homes but leaves a positive legacy for the wider community here in Kirkbymoorside.”

Over the past year, Countryside has had over 5,700 home completions across 137 sites in locations across the North West, the Midlands, Yorkshire, London, and the South East.
