Tech business expands with support from Barclays

Horbury based tech firm Pace IT Systems has announced expansion plans with the purchase of new premises.

Established in 2007, Pace IT Systems previously operated from premises at Batley Business Park, but following fast growth the business quickly outgrew the premises and needed somewhere larger to continue on their growth trajectory.

The new premises are located at Stone Bridge House, Wakefield Road, Horbury and is now home to over 30 employees including software project managers, business analysts, software developers and test analysts.

Andrew Brown, managing director, said: “We’ve scaled up the business at speed and very quickly needed more space with room for further growth. We now have the capacity to continue with our growth targets and we plan to create employment opportunities as we develop the team.

“It’s great that Barclays and Charleston Financial were able to support our growth plans and owning our premises will help secure the future of the business.”

Caroline Coxon, Barclays business development manager worked with Cara Delemere at Charleston Financial to secure the funding to complete the premises purchase.

Keith Waddington, Barclays relationship manager, said: “Andrew and his team really impressed me with their growth plans and we’re delighted to be able to support the business with their ambitious plans which will take them to the next level.

“Having the ability to grow at scale and pace is crucial for high growth businesses and this funding package will provide them with sufficient capital and liquidity to expand their offering and increase their capacity.”
