Rail delays between London and Nottingham as person hit by train

Train services on the London/Nottingham/Sheffield route are set to be be disrupted this morning after a person after a person was hit by a train at Kentish Town.

A statement from East Midlands Railway said: “Network Rail are sending a team to site, they are expected to arrive at 06:40. The Emergency Services have been contacted however we do not have an estimate of their arrival.

“Train services running in both the London St Pancras and Luton direction will not be able to run between London St Pancras and Luton.

“At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next four hours. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 11:30.

“You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes. We are sorry for the delay to your journey today.

“We are currently looking at alternative arrangements to keep you on the move.”
