New showroom for luxury automotive brand

North Yorkshire-based Twisted Automotive’s new boutique showroom at Silverstone has now opened its doors.

With all necessary precautions in place in light of concerns about the spread of coronavirus, the 2,000 sq ft facility will offer customers in London and the south of England the opportunity to test drive, specify and order a Twisted vehicle.

In the near future, the base will act as a drop off point for Twisted customers taking care of their servicing needs.

Vehicles on-site include a 6.2L 430bhp V8 and Twisted’s delivery mileage, modern interpretation of the classic Series IIA.

Twisted founder and managing director Charles Fawcett said although a planned VIP media launch event in early April had been postponed, it was otherwise business as usual at the new showroom, which includes a café area where visitors can talk all things Defender with the team.

Doors at the showroom – next to Silverstone Porsche in Towcester – open Monday to Friday from 8.30am-5.30pm.

Hand sanitiser will be provided for customers and staff and the business is monitoring the latest guidance from the NHS, the Government and the World Health Organisation.

Fawcett said: “The decision to postpone our launch event was not taken lightly,” he said. “But we felt it was the only appropriate course of action at this time. We will, however, reschedule this for later in the year.

“However, it’s business as usual for the Twisted Group – other than we won’t be shaking hands! – and the Silverstone showroom opens as planned.

“For many years the Defender has been the backbone of many world crisis, so not being available at this time seems somewhat inappropriate.”
