Council announces rates relief programme for businesses

Bradford Council is launching a rates relief programme designed to lift the economic burden of the national coronavirus outbreak.

Eligible businesses will receive a letter advising them that the authority will not be seeking business rates payments for the coming months.

A spokesman for the council explained: “The council is working with partners, including the Government, on a range of further support measures to help as many businesses survive the unprecedented economic pressures caused by the coronavirus.
